Ireland Wedding Celebrants

Find a Wedding Celebrant in Ireland

This is a free project to help couples find a registered wedding celebrant for a ceremony in the Republic of Ireland. There are no paid listings, sponsorships, recommendations or endorsements.

The basics

If they can legally marry you in the Republic of Ireland, they are on this register

This register covers legal marriage ceremonies in the Republic of Ireland. It does not cover ceremonies in Northern Ireland, where marriage law is separate. This free tool makes the HSE's public list easier to search. We do not add bios, ratings or recommendations.

Who can legally marry you in Ireland?

A solemniser on the Register of Solemnisers. Celebrant is the word most couples search. This list is the people you can contact yourself. Civil registrars are assigned by the HSE, so they are not listed here.

Can Americans get married in Ireland?

Yes. You do not have to live in Ireland, but you do follow Irish marriage law, including three months' notice to the HSE. The guide on this site walks through notice, documents and the Marriage Registration Form.

What is the difference between a religious and a non-religious celebrant?

A religious celebrant will mention God. A non-religious celebrant will not. Both can legally marry you when they are on the current register, and you do not have to join their nominating body.
